Furthermore, Kurt realized that the tracks in pictures 1 and 4 were the same track. Picture 1 shows the track as seen from head height. This is commonly how tracks are viewed when approaching them. Picture 4 shows the perspective as seen by a tracker kneeling over it on all fours, as we frequently do.
