We often ridicule the knuckleheads who have tons of gear and no outdoor skills. It’s easier to collect gear than knowledge. Gear costs only money. Outdoor skills require learning, practice, and time.
But we all go off the deep end once and a while. And I can build a small cabin in the woods from the flashlights I’ve collected. So I advise you to invest in new knowledge. After all, you can carry knowledge with you all the time and it doesn’t require a large backpack! 🙂
