We celebrate Earth Day annually on April 22. Millions of people across the world gather together to appreciate our planet.
It is an exciting day if you are a bushcrafter! Events of all types are held during the week to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Many of these events relate directly to our pursuit of knowledge, awareness, and protection of wild places. It is a wonderful opportunity. Renowned experts and organizations give their time to sponsor activities and events we can attend. I urge you to participate in as many of these as you can. Avail yourself of the opportunity to learn. Get to know the people in your community. Discover new opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills.
The goal of Earth Day is to celebrate our planet. Ideally every day should be Earth Day. But too often our society is out of step with nature. So don’t miss this special opportunity – join in!
