Daylight saving time has begun in California, and we’ve set our clocks ahead one hour. I can tell by the way my coworkers stumble around the office.
There are some serious ramifications of the time change for outdoorsman – especially if you use the sun to navigate. But I thought I’d share a meme with you that’s been floating around the Internet. The picture is from the United Kingdom, and it’s nice to see they have a sense of humor about Daylight Saving Time.
In case you don’t know, a “henge” is a prehistoric monument consisting of a circle of stone or wooden uprights. Stonehenge, in Salisbury UK, is probably the most famous.
This picture came from Avebury Stone Circle. It was built in the Neolithic period, between 2850 BC and 2200 BC.
Obviously Stone Age man didn’t have daylight saving, so twice a year we have to move one of the stones.

I love Avebury – a fascinating site! It is such a large stone circle that there is a small village in the middle. You can get a drink at the pub there.
